Manchester Craft Mafia

Manchester Craft Mafia’s main aim is to encourage and promote craft throughout Manchester and beyond by bringing together a wide variety of artists and makers to create, enjoy, share and promote craft, through social crafting events or by organising selling fairs.

The Manchester Craft Mafia is a group of creative people and local craft businesses who are keen to get Manchester on the UK Handmade map through promoting, supporting and sharing the passion for everything crafty!

Manchester Craft Mafia was a little seed that came from the original Craft Mafia of Austin, Texas which started sprouting in 2007. Over time it has grown and expanded its remit to running and organising a range of fantastically crafty events in and around Manchester.

Manchester Craft mafia is a non-profit organisation and is run on a voluntary basis by a group of members who each have an ‘active role’. These members meet on a monthly basis to discuss and make decisions about MCM. All our members are very important to MCM and we would like that they be actively involved, this might be by volunteering to take on an ‘active role’ if a member stepped down or left, be informing MCM of any craft related opportunities /events or by helping promote the group.
